You can set up an unsubscribe manager for email messages. It allows you not to unsubscribe users in one click, but to specify the client's wish to unsubscribe beforehand. This is necessary in order to avoid instant unsubscription of clients when they accidentally click the unsubscribe button in an email.

To configure the unsubscribe manager, go to the section Settings ➔ Mailings ➔ Unsubscribe settings

When the unsubscribe manager switch is inactive, unsubscribing is one click away. Activate the switch and configure the unsubscribe manager.

You have 2 options for customising the unsubscribe manager page:

• Custom
• System

If you have your own page for setting preferences or unsubscribing a client, you can specify its URL in the corresponding field. After clicking the “Unsubscribe” button in an email, the user will be taken to the page you specify.

It is very important to set up your own unsubscribe page correctly, so that our platform understands whether the contact has actually unsubscribed or changed any settings. Read more about the API unsubscribe method here: Отписка contact unsubscribing

You can also use enKod's system unsubscribe page. Our service allows you to customise its appearance, namely:

• upload your brand logo
• write your own notification text and unsubscribe button text
• use personalisation tags and contact data fields

Personalisation tags you can use in the unsubscribe manager:

• {{user_guide:ensend:unsubsmanager:subscriber_firstname}}

The contact data fields are substituted into the manager in the standard form: {{user_guide:ensend:unsubsmanager:extrafield.name}}

If you don't enable the unsubscribe manager in the settings, but use the tag {{user_guide:ensend:unsubsmanager:link_unsubscribe_manager}} in emails, unsubscribing will still be a one-click process.

Now when clicking on “Unsubscribe” in an email message, the client will be taken to the unsubscribe manager page

When unsubscribing from a test email, we will not unsubscribe you from the mailing list, but we will show you a blank page if everything is working correctly
